It is difficult to say goodbye and to see such an important chapter in
my life come to end, but it is the right time. Who knows, I may have a
change of heart and circumstances down the line. I might be able to come back to
CQMagOnline in one way or another. I am sad to offer the last issue
for your reading pleasure. I was hoping that the last issue would be
overflowing with photo submissions and articles, but that was not meant to
be. I held up publishing as long as I could, but it was time to press
the button and make it live.
I want to thank my loyal staff of regular contributors and advertisers. I really could not have done it without you. I was so happy to see the CQ Banner that Cass made out of the blocks she received from the Autograph Quilt Block Exchange that I hosted on behalf of the magazine so many years ago. I was inspired. Ironically, I had carefully packed away all of mine not too long ago when I boxed up my studio for storage. I also discovered something else as I was moving. I needed to work on the magazine, even though I have been moving my computers. A friend recommended Dropbox, a remote file storage website. I have installed their application on all of my computers and even my phone. It allows me to access important files across any platform, when I need it...no matter where I am or what device I have with me. It is a free service if you are interested: http://db.tt/YbL2jFnl Wishing you all the best in your CQ adventures! Rissa |
