
This camellia is created with the cast-on stitch. The diagram shows the
placement of the stitches, done in three rounds starting in the center with
round 1 consisting of three loops composed of 12 cast-on stitches each. Place these
stitches very close together, with enough space in the center to nestle a
size 10 seed bead. The second round consists of 6 loops of 12 cast-on stitches each.
The third and last row consists of 6 loops of 15 cast-on stitches each. The flower
measures about 3/4" across when complete.
To complete the flower, I added beaded leaves and a stem stitched stem. |
