We begin a New Year at CQMagOnline with this issue. The big news is the "Through Your Eyes Challenge: If You Can Imagine It, CQ It" results are in and the judges have chosen our winners. It was truly an international contest with the six winners coming from six different countries. Be sure to check out the articles on the contest, meet the winners and enjoy the beautiful entries from around the globe.

Featured are some of the quilt festivals and shows from around the USA with articles by staff members who attended telling us what they saw and of the fun they had. We have begun an ongoing series telling you of the locations of retreats, shows and events in the quilt world so when you are scheduling your events be sure to include CQMagOline in your announcements so we can add you to the next article.

One of the most popular classes at the "Houston Quilt Market" was Diane Ricks "Velvet Butterflies" which she has shared with us in this issue.

In place of a contest our project for this year is a donation block angel quilt, be sure to read Barbara Blankenship's article "Sleep with Angels" and join in the project if you can.

Check out the eye candy in the Readers' Showcase and see the completion of Jenny Clark's "Color Wheel Quilt", the next step in "Verana" by Rita Goff, Kimber Pekora's "Block of the Issue" (BOI), Stephanie Novatski's fabulous "Polymer Clay Faces" and how one group joins in an international "Friendship Tapestry" in Pat Winter's article.

Don't miss the articles on stitches and techniques by the members of the staff

Last but not least think of what you can contribute to CQMagOnline for the next issue. We will be concentrating on Victorian Crazy Quilting, both in pictures and articles on old quilts and the modern items made to look like these older beauties. If you have any old Crazy Quilts you would like to share with us we would love to see and hear about them. Have you made a Victorian gift or home decor piece? Can you write a how to article? Send them in to me at editor@cqmagonline.com and share with our other readers.

Until next time,
