Don't miss the article about Kimber in this issue. Her quilt has been chosen
as one of the four Crazy Quilt semi finalists in the "$100,000 Quilting
Challenge" magazine contest. Check out the August issue of "$100,000
Quilting Challenge" magazine for her interview.
Pat Winter got word too late to spotlight her this issue that she too is a
semifinalist in this same contest. Watch for her story next issue and in the
October issue of "$100,000 Quilting Challenge" magazine.
Yahoo hosts a number of lists for CQ and the related techniques. The latest to come on the scene is "Silk_Ribbon_Heirlooms" begun by Victoria Adams Brown and Willa Fuller. According to their introduction "Silk Ribbon Heirlooms" is a discussion group dedicated to the beautiful art of silk ribbon embroidery.
Another entry is "CQForNewbies" Here you will learn the basics of putting a block together, learn seam embellishments, seam treatments, have encouragement, tips and everything else to make your Crazy Quilting journey fun, a safe place to express yourself and get your questions answered. JK and Lesa keep this fast paced, lively group moving along.
Don't forget our own CQMagOnline which is monitored by members of the staff and where we all pop in to answer questions and see what's happening.
