The last blocks have come in and they are sweet! As you may know from the July 2006 Issue, CQMagOnline is hosting the Making Juvenile Diabetes A Little More Bearable Project. The blocks have been made into a wallhanging . Check out the article in this issue to see the finished project . You can visit JDRF site to see all the wonderful things they have done and the new projects in the works. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for diabetes. I know you will enjoy viewing the last group of blocks I have received.
CQMagOnline would like to thank all participants of the Making Juvenile Diabetes A Little More Bearable Quilt Project. The 36 blocks we received from all over the world, were assembled into a darling Teddy Bear Wallhanging and shipped to JDRF on September 26, 2006. JDRF will be auctioning off the quilt at their annual golf tournament fund raiser in 2007. The artists are as follows as they appear from left to right on the Wallhanging. Row 1 ~ Leslie Ehrlich, Debbie Reed, Janice Tucker, Carol Horn, Rissa Peace Root, Shelly Capalaba Row 2 ~ Carole Groppler, Jocelyn Goodger, Jo Newsham, Cass Salina, Barbara Blankenship, Gwen Frazier Row 3 ~ Stephanie Novatski, Debbie Smith, Megan Paris, Pat Winter, Chris Lockard, Stephanie Novatski Row 4 ~ Linda Feuge, Wanda Johnson, Kimber Pekora, Marya Blackwell, Sandi Mannen, Debbie Smith Row 5 ~ Celine Combet, Megan Paris, Lynn Schoeffler, Julie Yonge, Jill Phillips, Karen Kennedy Row 6 ~ Debbie Smith, Marya Blackwell, Carole Groppler, Rita Brizendine, Sandra Roy, Carole Lindberg
On a personal note I would like to say what a delight it was to see each block in person. The blocks were so creative, it was neat to see how different each one was. |
