Kreinik Threads is one of my favorite vendors at the Houston Quilt Market. I always look forward to visiting their booth. I absolutely love working with metallic threads and they produce every size and color you would ever want. They also have a line of silk threads and iron-on threads.

I was excited when I received their announcement of new colors and also a new 3/8” metallic trim. The new colors are:

• 072 Cocoa Brown comes in Blending Filament, plus Braids #4, 8, 12, 16 and 1/16" Ribbon
• 089 Aspen Green comes in Blending Filament, plus Braids #4, 8, 12, 16 and 1/16" Ribbon
• 623 Twilight Blue comes in Braids #4, 8, 12, 16 and 1/16" Ribbon

As crazy quilters we are always looking for a narrow trim and I’ve enjoyed experimenting with the Japan Silver trim. The colors available are Japan Gold, Japan Silver, Burnished Gold, and Vatican Gold.

I have used the silver trim in this picture. The Chevron Stitches are done in the new Aspen Green. The Lazy Daisy Stitches are done in 102 #4 very fine braid.
