My Favorite Crazy Quilt Embellishments

I enjoy making fans, and spider webs with spiders.  The method I like best for making spiders is using beads for the bodies.  The very fine metallic threads that are available now make pretty webs.  Another embellishment I like is the feather with the French knots in the center.  I put a feather on almost every block in this quilt.  It is interesting to see how the thread color changes the appearance of the feather.
