| Recently, a question came up on one of the lists about how one would
go about transferring a design onto dark fabric. My favorite method is to
use tissue paper. First, I transfer the design to the paper and pin it to
the fabric exactly where I want the design, then I stitch through both the
paper and fabric. Once the stitching is done, I carefully remove the paper
by tearing it away from the stitching. You will want to use tweezers
to catch any little pieces remaining in the stitching. The first photo shows the tissue pinned in place. The second photo shows the progress of the stitching. The third photo shows the stitching completed. The fourth and final photo shows the finished tree, which I filled in with beads. |
