'Dancing Lilies' by Caryl Schuetz, from the special exhibit "In Full Bloom
V: Floral Quilts in Memory of Helen Pearce O'Bryant."
‘Dancing Lilies’ is just one of the many magnificent quilts on display at
this year’s Houston International Quilt Festival. The events will take place
at the George R. Brown Convention Center, 1001 Avenida De Las Americas,
Houston, Texas 77010, USA (www.houstonconventionctr.com).
October 30 through November 2, 2008 are the scheduled dates for this
year’s Festival with a Preview Night on October 29 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
The class catalog is available online at
www.quilts.com. There is an amazing list of classes available for every
skill level. You will want to arrive early as some classes begin on October
27.
I have had the distinct pleasure of representing CQMagOnline at the past
three Festivals. It is an amazing show and without doubt the largest event
of this type in the world. You will want to begin scheduling classes and
arranging accommodations now. Classes fill early, as do most hotels and
motels.
