In this issue, we have a variety of articles by a variety of members of the Crazy Quilting Community.  In addition to the staff contributions, we have articles from Maureen Greeson, LouAnne Sassone, Leslie Ehrlich, and Jo Newsham, just to name a few.

Some of the staff highlights from this issue are:

  • Barbara Blankenship continues with her series of Ideas and Inspiration Challenge articles.
  • Allison Aller gives you a review of the Evening Star Designs' Blocks with Variations for Crazy Quilters by Carolyn S. Cibik and uses the method she learned to create this Block of the Issue.
  • Pat Winter returns with this issue and offers several great ideas for making small projects.
  • Julie Yonge reviews the Mary Jo Hiney book, Simply Silk, and tempts us with her finds from HIQF.
  • Lynn Schoeffler shares her process for making a challenge purse.

This magazine depends on you, our readers.  If you have an idea and feel comfortable documenting it with photographs, we are always looking for contributing authors. Since we are an all volunteer magazine, we can not pay for articles, but we only ask your permission to post the article here, therefore you retain all copyrights. If you are not comfortable writing the article, contact one of us to see if we can help.  If you are interested in being a regular contributor or staff member, please contact me at the address below for further information.

I have to say, the actual posting of this issue went much smoother than the last two.  There were a few server glitches, but not enough to impede progress.  I hope that bodes well for all of the upcoming issues of CQMagOnline!  We can only hope that our web hosting company has gotten all of the bugs out of the new platform.

And the last bit of good news, Allison Aller has agreed to take over my old job as Assistant Editor, effective with the October Issue.  October is always our gift idea and project issue and is usually the most popular issue of the year.

Thanks for continuing to read and use CQMagOnline as a resource.  We love seeing all of the photos that come through for the Readers' Showcase, especially when they are of projects from our publication.
