An interesting, enriching journey has finally come to an end. As many of you have read in previous issues of CQMagOnline, I took on a project with donated wedding dresses from the “Making Memories” organization. This group takes quilts made from the provided bridal gowns and directly sells or auctions them, donating the proceeds to breast cancer research. I had requested some help from my local crazy quilting group, Rocky Mountain Crazy Quilters, and my online group, Crazy Quilting International;  both groups rose to the occasion magnificently! I wound up with fifty-four blocks!! This was many more than first anticipated and I was able to create three wonderful quilts that are on their way to Making Memories! (Shhhhh and keep your fingers crossed, as these quilts are going to be submitted for inclusion in the Houston International Quilt Festival; it is my hope that at least one will make the cut!) I’m after the crazy quilting exposure for our CQ passion!

Below are pictures of finished quilts. Close up shots of each block are posted on my Flickr group for your viewing enjoyment!

CQI members named two of the quilts for me. The aptly named "Healing Hearts" was Shari Jensen's suggestion. You can read about how her name was chosen in her blog, http://ladyspice.blogspot.com/.  “Problem Child” was named by Lynn Schoeffler, as it continually challenged me with a variety or “problems” consisting of design and color. Making a design “pop” in a tone on tone product is much more difficult than I ever dreamed.

At any rate, I am now recovering from triple deadline dilemma and dedication to this project; I am moving on to other projects to stimulate myself again! There is always something new happening in our crazy quilting world! Enjoy!
