In this issue you will find a variety of articles and product reviews.
We are pleased to be able to publish Merikay Waldvogel's essay, "What Makes
a Crazy Quilt a Crazy Quilt?" The Alliance for American Quilts is launching
another contest and fundraiser this year, and the essay is a lovely way to
promote it. New staff member, Maureen Greeson, has launched the first in her
series "Keeping it Simple." This issue also features crazy quilts made for
charity and a civil war museum. Lynn focuses on a project to get
postcards to deployed soldiers. We even have reports about two major CQ
retreats. In addition, there are articles covering techniques for
curved seams, beaded paisleys, glittered fabric, millinery flowers, wired
dolls and even recovering a vintage pincushion with crazy quilting.
Do not miss the Readers' Showcase, we have some really lovely eye candy
that was submitted for your enjoyment! A special thanks to all of our
readers who took the time to submit photos of their projects. We
really appreciate your readership and your willingness to share. I
hope that some of you will consider writing articles on some of your
projects.
This issue also marks the creation of a
CQMagOnline.com fan page on FaceBook! You are welcome to subscribe
