Despite the continuing personal problems plaguing the staff of
CQMagOnline, we have managed to put together another interesting issue!
It features a lot of new articles covering a variety of techniques and ideas
to broaden your knowledge of crazy quilting. There are articles about
design, motifs and seam treatments. The block of the issue is for an
Artist Trading Card, something about which I have written on many occasions.
I hope that will inspire some of you to make a CQ ATC. If you create
projects inspired by the magazine, please send photos for the Readers'
Showcase. That kind of feedback helps keep the staff motivated to
write more articles. If you have questions or comments about what you
read in CQMagOnline.com, please email us. We are also interested in your
suggestions about what you would like to see in future issues. We are
trying to meet the needs of the crazy quilting community at large.
As always, I want to extend a special thank you to our staff, sponsors
and readers for their continuing efforts to keep CQMagOnline.com alive and
well. In these uncertain times, it is reassuring to know that we all share
Nora's vision of offering free information and articles to the crazy
quilting community. We continue to need contributions of articles,
Readers' Showcase submissions and sponsors.
Now a personal note, for the second time in as many issues, I have lost a
beloved dachshund just prior our publication date. On July 22, I lost Rudy,
my faithful stitching companion, to a long term illness. Then one of
our oldest dogs, Oscar, passed away in the wee hours of October 17.
Rudy's pictures have graced past issues of CQMagOnline.com, in both the
Editor's Notes and my tutorial on assembling biscornu. I thought I would
share a few photos of each of them, one last time.
