Rita's block for the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Wall Hanging

Registrations are now being accepted for the tenth Crazy Quilt Society Retreat being held in Omaha, Nebraska. The dates for this event are July 6-8, 2007. There is a pre-retreat beginners class on Thursday, July 8th, and three post-retreat classes being offered Monday, July 9th.

Some extra special events and three exhibits will be offered this year due to celebrating our tenth anniversary. Of course, we will have the "Chocolate and Chat" session, the "Great Fiber Exchange," and the "Prom Dress Swap" again. As usual, vendors will be there to tempt you. Classes are filled in the order the registrations are received.

Faculty this year includes Helen Gibbs, Kelly Abbott, Jay Rich, Rita Goff, Barbara Randall, Nancy Kirk and Ruth Ciemnoczolowski.

There are scholarships available to ease the cost of attending. These must be applied for prior to April of this year; should you need to spread out your payments you can join the three payment plan.

During the year members donate blocks to this society and these are made into wall hangings that are raffled off during the retreat. Anyone can buy a ticket for the drawing. Monies raised with this project are equally divided between the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Crazy Quilt Society Scholarship Fund.
